Planted ("we", "our", or "the app") is a collaborative plant care management application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
Plant Data: Information about your plants, watering schedules, and care tasks that you enter into the app.
Plant Visuals: Plant images are generated in the app or stored locally on your device. We do not upload plant photos to Firebase Cloud Storage.
Device Information: We collect Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens to send you push notifications about watering reminders and home invitations.
Diagnostics, Integrity, and Advertising Data: Firebase, Google Play services, and Google advertising services may process diagnostics, crash logs, app instance identifiers, device and app integrity signals, consent choices, ad interactions, approximate location inferred from IP address, and device identifiers such as the Android advertising ID.
The app may request camera or gallery access solely to let you choose a local plant image. This is optional. Local images are not uploaded to our servers.
Your account and plant care data are stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) with industry-standard security. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell your personal data.

Your plant data and care tasks are shared with members of homes you create or join. We also share or allow processing of data with service providers described above so they can provide authentication, database hosting, push notifications, diagnostics, app integrity, consent, advertising, measurement, and fraud-prevention services.
Your account and plant care data are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from the app's settings or request deletion through our account deletion page. Upon deletion, your account, plants, homes, and associated care data are removed from active systems, except where limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backup recovery.
The app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
